Love Tractor

 

Love Tractor was an inventive instrumental band that I loved to go see.  Formed in 1980, they recorded five critically acclaimed albums during the 1980s until taking a hiatus for most of the 1990s.  They resurfaced again in 2001 and have released four more albums since then.  Only one of the original members remains, but the band continues in a style highly reminiscent of the original lineup.

Love Tractor starting added vocals beginning with their second album, but I like them best like this – letting their guitars do the singing.   

This song is from their first album, self-titled Love Tractor and released in 1982.  If it sounds familiar, that's because it was used for years as background music on the Weather Channel.
Fun To Be Happy


Another instrumental song, this from the 1984 EP 'Til the Cows Come Home.  It was also included on the Wheel of Pleasure album, also released in 1984.
